School returns

Dear Aunt Alice,

Well, my month long holiday has come to a close and we return to school tomorrow. I'm sad to report that the long awaited books still have not arrived, so much of the last few days has been spent erasing used workbooks so that we can reuse them.

I have a new appreciation for my American public school education. We always had running water, indoor plumbing, working lights in the classrooms, enough desks, enough books, working pencil sharpeners, etc. Plus - kids have the chance to finish high school even if their parents don't have money!

Appreciate your education and your teachers. I know I appreciate mine!
