Thanksgiving

Dear Aunt Alice,

Today, it seems that nothing can go well.  My brother's truck, my mother's Gooey Butter cake, the church's hot water heater, a fussy baby, my work computer...you name it and it seems to be uncooperative.  As I sit and thing of all the things that could hinder my desire to give thanks, I'm reminded to give thanks in all things.  If my family, friends and other earthly blessings weren't enough, the Lord Jesus Christ certainly is. 

So, tonight I'm going to thank God that the truck, the cake, the hot water heater, the baby and the computer are not cooperating.  I may never know the reason, but I know that each of these rests in the hands of the One who does.  He's not surprised by any and He knows the outcome of them all.
