Dear Aunt Alice,

I can see why you stayed here for nine years – it’s simply gorgeous here!! Being the rainy season, the plants are in full bloom and they are stunning. The variety of greens alone is enough to put me in awe. Walking home tonight, I couldn’t help but want to praise God for the beauty of the stars. For the first time in my life, no lights dimmed my view of the Lord’s awesome handiwork and I saw more stars than I could have imagined.

Rainy season also means a lot of mud. When you’re in a part of the world that has only dirt roads, that means that your feet are constantly filthy and it has given me a whole new perspective on Christ washing the disciples’ feet!!
